GETTING TO CAMP

Daily flights from Nairobi to Masai Mara are available with Governors Aviation and other select airlines.

CHILDREN

We welcome children aged 8 years and over to camp.

ROOM SERVICE

Room service available on request, tea and coffee is served in the tents with the morning wake up call.

LAUNDRY

Arranged daily at no extra cost.

WATER BOTTLE

We would strongly encourage you to please pack your own water bottle which can be refilled as often as you like – we have Reverse Osmosis filtered water dispensers throughout our camps and lodges, which is perfectly safe to drink. This would help us immensely by reducing the amount of plastic waste in these precious wildlife environments.

Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Please note we cannot accept US dollar bills older than the year 2000.

SEASONS

Open throughout the year. Peak season months August and September and 15th – 31st December. High season months January – March inclusive and June, July, October, November and 1st – 14th December. Green season – April and May

RATE INCLUDES

Musiara Airstrip transfers, accommodation, meals in camp, selected wines, beers and soft drinks, three game drives daily and laundry.

RATE EXCLUDES

Flights, fine wines, spirits and champagne and park entrance fees.

HEALTH AND INSURANCE

Preventative Malaria medication is recommended. More information is available on our Health Planning page. Please make sure you have comprehensive medical and travel insurance arranged before visiting Il Moran Camp.

Musiara Airstrip is the airstrip serving Il Moran Camp. Length 1.600 m, all weather gravel airstrip, Coordinates: S 0117.98 E 03503.92

Please note that there is a strict 15 kg luggage allowance per person including hand luggage on all Masai Mara flights.

We offer a range of spa treatments at Il Moran, which can be done within the comfort and privacy of your tent. Please view the full treatment list HERE.

During Covid-19, these are taking place at all properties with strict hygiene controls.

MEALS

Breakfast is a continental and Full English, lunch is served as a buffet with fresh salads al fresco and dinner is a la carte in the main dining tent. We cater for special diets on request. Bush meals are available to book at an extra cost.

GAME DRIVES

We offer up to three game drives per full day on safari. These take place inside the Masai Mara National Park and in our fleet of new 4-seater Landcruiser safari vehicles. Picnics / packed meals can be provided for those who would like to head out on full or half-day game drives. Snacks and drinks are also provided in the cars.

TENTS

Very spacious luxurious safari tents under canvas, each with private verandah, ensuite bathrooms with bath, large shower, twin basins, flush toilet, running cold and hot water.

TOILETRIES

Please note that we provide a lovely range of ‘Cinnabar Green’ toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and body lotion) in the tents. These products are refilled into reusable metal canisters so as to reduce on plastic waste. They are also handmade in Kenya with natural ingredients and are therefore in keeping with the sensitive environment in which we operate. We urge you to please use our products rather than your own. These toiletries are supplied for the duration of your stay with us, and if you would like to buy some to take onwards with you, we sell the full range in the camp gift shop.

ELECTRICITY AND WIFI

Electric lights in the tents, 220/240 UK Volt plugs for charging cameras and phones. All tents have USB charging ports. We also carry a stock of international plug adapters. Wifi is available in camp.
