Tubu Tree is built into the trees, with elevated wooden walkways connecting eight traditional-style tents on raised platforms, each with a private deck providing sensational views over the floodplains. Each tented room has an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor shower; the family unit consists of two adjoining tents with separate bathrooms and a shared lounge. The camp’s main dining and lounge areas, as well as its pool, are raised to maximise the vistas, and an open bar area is shaded by a large marula tree. A stunning hide near camp is transformed into a Star Bed at night, creating a unique sleep-out in the wild.
Tubu Tree is set on Hunda Island in the Okavango Delta’s Jao Reserve, offering spectacular game viewing on land and water – a complete Delta adventure.

Explore the island for elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard (the resident female recently created a den for her cub in a Tubu Tree bathroom for safekeeping), as well as African wild dog, spotted hyaena, a vast variety of plains game, giraffe, Burchell’s zebra and countless other creatures. Listen for the spine-tingling cry of the fish-eagle and hundreds of other birds, both dry-land and wetland species. Relax as your mokoro drifts past water lilies and reed frogs, or a boating excursion brings hippos, crocs, or even rare sitatungas into view. Try your hand at catch-and-release fishing, or take to the skies by helicopter, soaring above the Okavango Delta’s expanse. By day, watch the wildlife parade from an elevated hide, where you can sleep under the stars at night.
