Zarafa Camp’s four guest suites individually measure over 100 square meters (1000 square feet) under flowing canvas. Each suite rests on raised reclaimed railway sleeper decking with the interiors consisting of a lounge area that flows to a beautiful bedroom and an open layout indoor bathroom complete with a copper claw-foot bath. Expansive outdoor decking that wraps around each guest suite offers guests a private plunge pool, outdoor seating and private outdoor shower.
With a maximum of 8 guests at this Botswana safari camp, the emphasis is on intimate hospitality in the tradition of a bygone Botswana safari era. The thatched bar and viewing deck overlook a small, but active waterhole, whilst meals are enjoyed in the warmth of the well-appointed 'mess tent.'
Suites

Zarafa Camp is designed with exclusivity and privacy at its core. Each suite is positioned on the forest's edge, rimming the shores of the floodplains and far from a neighbour. The 305 square metre marquis style' canvas guest suites are expansive and open-air without exposing guests to the elements. Each of the three spaces of the suite is decorated with custom-made furniture, handcrafted from recycled ancient hardwoods. The raised decks, constructed of recycled African railroad sleepers, form the tent's foundation.
Upon entry is a large lounge appointed with a leather sofa, armchairs, personal bar and writing desk. Adjoining the lounge is the main bedroom and dressing area. Exiting the bedroom, a beautiful copper gas fireplace is strategically placed between the bathroom and the bedroom to allay the chill of the winter months. The main bathroom is comprised of a copper bath and shower, double sinks and private toilet. Off the bathroom, the raised walkway leads to the outdoor shower, complete with wrap around showerheads! The private verandah, running the length of the front of the suite, offers a private plunge pool, outdoor lounge and sweeping view of Zibadianja Lagoon's waters.
Each tent comes with its own Canon professional camera including a Canon 5D body and 35-135 mm and 100-400mm zoom lenses for use during a stay. Photos are then burned to a DVD as a souvenir at the end of your stay.
Accommodating Children and sharing Accommodation
• Children are accommodated from a minimum age of 6 years
• Triples for children sharing with adults can be arranged upon request
• Child rates are applicable for one child aged 15 and younger sharing with two adults in a suite
• Children 16 and older will pay applicable adult rates and be accommodated in a separate suite. Alternatively, families should consider booking the Zarafa Dhow Suite;
• Families will be combined with other guests on all activities unless a private vehicle is booked
and paid for
• Children can participate in walking activities from 8 years when accommodated in a standard suite at Zarafa Camp
• Young children must be supervised as the camp is open with high predator densities in and around camp and there is water surrounding camp. The camp also features raised decks, pools which are not covered

General Information
Selinda Airstrip The Category B Selinda airfield is licensed for aircraft as large as King Air, Pilatus PC-12 and Cessna Caravan. Coordinates S18"33.95'; E23"30.73'
Luggage weight: 44lbs per person, packed in a medium-sized duffel bag with no wheels. Suitcases and hard luggage not permitted. Excess bags can be stored at Maun airport, depending on your itinerary.

Airports Information
Maun Airport serves as the main gateway to the Okavango Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve. Many tour operators offer chartered flights over the Delta and to Botswana destinations such as the Makgadikgadi Pans, one of the largest seasonal wetlands in Africa. There are also daily scheduled flights to destinations in Botswana and South Africa.

Kasane International Airport (IATA: BBK, ICAO: FBKE) is an airport serving Kasane, a town in the Chobe District of Botswana. The airport is located along the A33 Road, 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the town and 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the border with Namibia.
Air Botswana provides scheduled service between Kasane and Gaborone on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Numerous charter flight operators offer flights to other destinations in the vicinity.
Because it is near Chobe National Park, the airport is mainly used for tourism. Most lodges in the Kasane area provide shuttles from and to the airport. A bus shuttle is available for travel to Victoria Falls in Zambia and Zimbabwe.
