Elephant Point estate( where Ubunthu Lodge is located) is situated in a region renowned for its natural diversity and concentration of big game, and is undoubtedly one of the best game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park. The estate takes its name from the elephants that can frequently be seen drinking and grazing on the banks of the mighty Sabie River. However, elephant is not the only magnificent creature you will encounter. Herds of buffalo, prides of lion, leopards and numerous antelope species make their home in the surrounding area. Elephant Point borders the Kruger National Park and is also neighbour to the world famous and exclusive Sabie Sand Game Reserve, home of Mala Mala, Sabie Sabie, Londolozi, Singita, Ulusaba and others.

Designed by premier wildlife lodge architects, Nick Plewman A+A, Ubuntu Lodge eschews traditional lodge design aesthetics in favour of a contemporary Afro-chic experience.

The lodge is characterised by an abundance of beautiful spaces in which to congregate in fraternity or, perhaps, retreat in solitude. Both indoor and outdoor, whether fine or inclement, there is a space that will inspire. The options for dining or lounging, entertaining or relaxing are myriad.

Floor-to-ceiling, steel windows and doors flood the voluminous interiors with light, while those same doors open expansively, welcoming cooling breezes to naturally moderate the internal temperature. Four luxury master suites, with elegant bathrooms, provide superior accommodation for all guests, while in-ceiling speakers throughout provide personal or whole lodge sound, all via simple Airplay2 functionality. Ubuntu Lodge is the perfect sanctuary from which to absorb the sights and sounds of the African bush and the unique experiences the area has to offer.

Ubunthu Lodge is situated on the banks of the magnificent Sabi River, providing spectacular views over the river and into the Kruger National Park

Sabi River also called Save River, river of south eastern Africa, flowing through Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The river rises as the Sabi about 50 miles (80 km) south of Harare (formerly Salisbury) and flows southeast from the Zimbabwean highveld to its confluence with the Odzi.

The main river, the Sabie, is 230 km long, and is itself a major tributary of the Incomati system, which discharges into the Indian Ocean in Mozambique.

Terms and conditions for individual reservations:

1. All rates quoted are on a room only per night basis unless otherwise indicated.

2. All bookings are subject to availability.

3. Rooms will be kept until 18:00 on day of arrival unless otherwise assured or guaranteed.

4. Full pre-payment of accommodation amount required in order to secure your booking.

5. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00.

6. Rack rates will apply during any special events (E.g. Concerts, Nedbank Golf Challenge, Shows etc.) and will be commissionable at 10%

7. Any pricing which includes a component of third party charges i.e. National Park entrance fees

may be changed without notice should this component fee be increased.

8. Guaranteed reservations will be held for first night only, after which the accommodation will be released.

Cancellation Policy per Booking

• Cancellations - for two or less rooms - within 48 hours prior to arrival will be subject to a full

cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.

• Cancellations - for three to nine rooms - within seven days prior to arrival will be subject to a

full cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.

• Cancellations - ten rooms or more, group cancellation policy will apply.
