Situated on a quiet bend of the Mara River that is home to a resident pod of hippos, Governor's Private Camp is surrounded by forests teeming with birdlife. Slighly smaller than its sister camp Il Moran, Governor's is ideal for families or a group of friends as the entire camp can be booked for exclusive use for up to 16 people, offering a completely private safari experience.
You'll enjoy thrilling game drives in search of Africa's Big 5, and between July and October you’ll have the chance to witness thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and zebra migrate across the savannah and make perilous crossings over the area's crocodile-infested rivers. Early morning hot-air balloon rides will provide you with magnificent aerial views while guided nature walks will introduce you to the details of this incredible ecosystem. You could also visit a nearby Maasai village to meet the locals and learn about their way of life or take a day trip to beautiful Lake Victoria.
