Osoita Lodge was designed and built by the owners themselves and that personalized touch is evident all across the lodge. All raw materials used in construction and furniture were extracted from the very ground where Osoita Lodge stands today
Osoita is conveniently adjacent to the Nairobi National Park plus close to other major tourist attractions around Nairobi. Osoita's design is based on a traditional setup but with a modern twist. The lodge sports makuti thatching and makes use of traditional building materials and beautiful rustic furniture that brings out an authentic African touch. The lodge is setup within a tranquil, lush green environment with the seasonal River Kandisi running at the very edge of the lodge
Located on the outskirts of Nairobi, adjacent to the Nairobi National Park, which is the only game reserve in the world that is situated in a city. It is approximately 30 min drive from the Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and about 5miles from the entrance of the park and about 15miles from the city center.
The lodge is located around Olekassasi Township in lush green environment with a seasonal river running at the edge of the lodge
Featuring thatched-roof rooms with brightly decorated interiors and traditional furniture, each room is fitted with a mosquito net. It includes a safe, desk and a wardrobe. The en-suite bathroom has a shower with free toiletries. All rooms have a pool view and some have a balcony.

Check in time is from 12 pm onwards. We endeavor to ensure that your room is serviced and prepared for you to occupy on your day of arrival. However, if you arrive earlier you are more than welcome to wait in our
lounge as we get your room ready for you. Check out time is by 10am on your day departure. Your check out time can
be extended to 10:30 without charge when requested in advance (latest 9am) and when it will not inconvenience the next arriving guest Late checkouts will be subject to additional charges.
Note: Please lock the door of the room and bring the key into the reception.
Water
The lodge has its water source from natural borehole. Please refrain from drinking the tap water. You are provided with bottled drinking water daily.However, the tap water can be used for brushing teeth, washing and shower.
Digital Safe
Our rooms are equipped with digital safe for your valuables. To access the safe, simply take off the back battery cover and push the orange button to reset the password. Once done, return the cover, punch in your desired password on the front panel and press the lock button on the panel. Your safe is now password protected and ready to use.

Fire Safety
In the interest of your own safety, guests are advised to familiarize themselves with the location of the nearest fire exit and alternative exits in relation to your room

Here at Osoita, we offer a relaxed style of dining with wide doors opening to a spacious terrace where guests can enjoy an explosive blend of cuisines including delicious Indian, Continental and traditional barbecues that match our superb architecture and ambience.

Breakfast is served between 7:00am and 9:30am. (Breakfast outside of these hours can be accommodated on request.) Breakfasts are freshly cooked to ensure that your breakfast is at its best quality when it is served to you.
Evening Meals
Our evening meals are served from 6:00pm till 9:45pm (last orders at 9:00pm). The meals can be enjoyed either in the Main Restaurant or the Outdoor Terrace as per your preference. Our main menu is available to residents throughout the week. We are open to the public as well for meals and drinks

David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was established more than 40 years ago and is best known for its Orphans’ Project, the first and most successful elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. The Sheldrick Trust is a pioneering conservation organisation, dedicated to the protection of wildlife and the preservation of habitats in East Africa.
Nairobi National Park
A short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district is the Nairobi National Park. Wide open grass plains and backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded. Visitors can enjoy the park’s picnic sites, three campsites and the walking trails for hikers.
Nairobi Safari Walk and Orhpanage
With its raised wooden boardwalk that allows for uninterrupted views of the animals, the Safari Walk is a show case for Kenya’s Parks and Reserves, allowing visitors to discover what they can expect to see across the country. Visitors can see a sample of the country’s rich animal life including the rare bongo, white rhino and albino zebra as well as big cats, antelopes and primates. It is also home to some 150 species of local trees.
AFEW Giraffe Centre
The Giraffe Centre is the creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organisation. Our main purpose is to educate Kenyan school children and youth on their country’s wildlife and environment, as well as give local and international visitors an opportunity to come into close contact with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe.
Karen Blixen Museum & Kazuri Beads
Pick up from your Hotel and commence to Kazuri Beads Factory; enjoy a one hour tour inside the Factory showcasing the various techniques in the making & crafting their artwork. You’ll end the tour and embark to Karen Blixen Museum; in this tour you will walk into Karen Blixen home; famously known for her book ‘Out of Africa’ that she wrote of her day-to-day life.
Mamba Crocodile Village
This is the largest reptile farm in Kenya, with guided tours taking you past several pools where you can see the crocs in various stages of development: from babies to the 100-year-old Big Daddy, who’s 5m long. There’s a small serpentarium as well. Be aware that some of the smaller crocodiles here become handbags and fried reptile bites at the on-site restaurant, so this place is not for everyone. Crocodile feeding time is at 5pm.
