Hwange National Park

Hwange National Park is one of Southern Africa’s best-kept secrets. This 7-day Best of Hwange safari whisks guests into the heart of Zimbabwe’s best-known National Park to experience the untamed wilds of Zimbabwe and the remote wilderness and grassy plains of the wildlife-rich area of northern Hwange National Park. Transfer by road, also known as the Ndhlovu Drive, to your second lodge in Hwange and the varied scrublands and diverse and specific wildlife of the eastern region of the park.

Your fully inclusive Hwange safari package will be spent traversing this largely untouched area with game walks and safari drives tracking wildlife in Hwange.

Enjoy game viewing from the refreshing lodge swimming pool as animals come down to drink at Nantwich dam. Your well-qualified local and passionate guides will teach you about the surrounding Hwange ecosystems and the wild animals and birds that find sanctuary here.

Elephant’s Eye Tented Camp, Hwange will be your base for the last 2 nights on this portion of your safari in Hwange. These spacious and stylish tented chalets of our Hwange eco-lodge are built on decks that afford you a birds-eye view of the busy waterhole and surrounding Hwange bush. Elephant’s Eye Tented Camp is situated on a private concession in the east of the park.

Your first 3 nights in Hwange National Park will be spent at Nantwich Lodge. This boutique Hwange safari lodge has been reclaimed from a bygone era and an old National parks camp. Great care was taken in the renovation to honour its past but still provide guests with a comfortable and elegant Hwange retreat for your Zimbabwe holiday package. Its position, perched on a hill overlooking a large dam, give guests some of the best game viewing in Hwange.

Your days here will be spent exploring the concession on foot with your guide on a Hwange walking safari or enjoying the early morning and evening game drives. Savour the quiet contentment that comes with sitting next to the roaring bonfire with a cocktail in hand watching the changing colours of the sunset before heading off to a delicious boma dinner.

Victoria Falls

In Victoria Falls visitors will discover the true origins of its local name “The Smoke That Thunders”. The town is small and offers an eclectic collection of excellent restaurants as well as authentic curio markets. If you love to collect curio you’ll love the Victoria Falls curio markets.

The town of Victoria Falls provides adventure seekers with a plethora of adrenaline-pumping activities. Popular activities include a scenic Helicopter Flight, Flying Fox (Cable Slide), Gorge Swing, Bungee Jumping, Zip Lining, Bridge Slide as well as the Canopy Tour.

DAY 1 - 3

Hwange National Park

OVERNIGHT: HIDEAWAYS NANTWICH LODGE, HWANGE

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met and transferred to Nantwich Lodge, our game lodge in the north of Hwange National Park. The lodge overlooks a large dam boasting one of the best views in the park. Daily game drives and game walks in Hwange are included in your experience.

DAY 4 & 5

Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

OVERNIGHT: HIDEAWAYS ELEPHANT’S EYE TENTED CAMP, HWANGE

After breakfast, a road transfer through the heart of Hwange National Park will take you to Elephant’s Eye Tented Camp. The landscape and corresponding bush and wildlife is very different to the north of Hwange and Nantwich Lodge. The transfer is yet another opportunity to experience the diversity of Zimbabwe’s premium park as you will be driven through the national park at a leisurely pace on a game drive. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop at waterholes and secluded Hwange hides. On arrival at Elephants Eye Tented Camp, enjoy a welcoming cocktail and be escorted to your tree-house chalet overlooking a waterhole with an amazing variety of animals coming in to drink. Over the next two days in Hwange, choose to either enjoy an inclusive half-day game drive on our private concession or visit our different community projects in Hwange during our Community Upliftment Experience tour

DAY 6

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

OVERNIGHT: ILALA LODGE, VICTORIA FALLS

Your Hwange wildlife safari comes to an end after breakfast when you will be transferred by road to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, there is a guided tour of the mighty Victoria Falls followed by a relaxing afternoon on the Zambezi River with a sunset cruise on the Ra-Ikane.

DAY 7

Departure

Our exciting Zimbabwe wildlife safari ends after breakfast at your lodge in Vic Falls. You will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport in time for your departure flight.
