This 3-day gorilla trekking safari takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is home to more than half the population of the remaining 720 Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers a unique birding opportunity, cultural experiences, a scenic allure of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by the elusive primates. You will experience life time watching at close range these majestic apes as they feed, play and relax.
Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Hopefully, your flight is scheduled for an early morning landing in Uganda or you arrive in Uganda at least a night before your safari begins. Your safari will start from either a hotel or Entebbe airport where you will be picked up by your Driver/Guide who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable national park. An early morning start from Kampala after your Breakfast takes you southwest Uganda by road with your driver, cross the Equator, and then to Mbarara for Lunch and through Savannah grasslands to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening then you relax at your lodge as you prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the following day in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience And Batwa Cultural Talks, Optional
You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing at 7:30am about the rules of Gorilla tracking. After the briefing, you will set off for the Gorilla hunt in the thick jungle. The jungle is very lively with rich forest sounds. The trek ranges between 2 – 8 hours and you have one hour to stay with the Gorillas once sited. In the afternoon you can opt for a community walk among the Batwa peoplewho used to live in the Bwindi forest before it was gazetted as a National Park and learn about their life and culture as a forest people.
Drive to Lake Bunyonyi Safari
After gorilla trek, we drive to lake Bunyonyi then take on a boat ride around some of the islands on Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi View Resort.

The Batwa also known as Twa people are pygmies referred to as the forest keepers due to the many years that they lived in the forest with animals. The Batwa people are the original inhabitants of the Bwindi forest and they are believed to have stayed there for more than 300 years.

Day 3: Transfer Back To Kampala - End Of tour
Have early breakfast and embark on your return journey to Kampala and eventually to Entebbe Airport. Expect enroute stopovers in Mbarara town for a lunch break and the Uganda Equator line mark in Kayabwe for some photographs and may be buying some art pieces of interest.
