3 Days Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Uganda Budget Tour

This is a short trip organized only to visit the mountain gorillas found in the South Western Park of Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park. It is selected with basic lodges included inside a private toilet, private shower with hot running water. It is a perfect trip for last minute travelers and also travelers on a tight budget seeking to combine a gorilla experience with a typical wildlife safari in East Africa.

Day 1: Gorilla Mist Camp, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Located in southwestern Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest. It is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting opportunities. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys and steep ridges. This untouched forest has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its breathtaking natural beauty and unique ecological significance. Aside from the amazing gorilla interactions, there are other drawcards such as a network of forest walks, over 340 species of bird to spot and a variety of butterflies. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the spectacular Virunga Volcanoes.

Day Itinerary

Our guide will pick you at your hotel after breakfast, and then depart from Entebbe\Kampala by road and head southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Have a stopover for some informative talk and a splendid photographic opportunity at the Equator and then continue to Mbarara town for Lunch. Travel through the rolling green hills of Banana and Tea plantations and head to the National Park. Dinner and overnight at choice of accommodation.

Overnight: Gorilla Mist Camp

Gorilla Mist Camp is located in the south-western wing of Ruhija tracking area in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Accommodation at the camp features 3 tented rooms with facilities such as solar electricity, Wi-Fi and constant water supply. Other amenities and services offered are a bar, restaurant, lounge, dining area, fireplace, a balcony and laundry services. Some activities at the camp include bird watching, nature walk and a tour of the nearby village.

Day 2: Gorilla Mist Camp, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Day Itinerary

Early morning, breakfast with your packed lunch, you will report to the Park headquarters for the briefing from the park officials. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you half an hour to three quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. 1 hour is allowed with the gorillas for photography and observation as they play, feed and groom. Dinner and overnight as previous night.

Day 3: End of Itinerary
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala\ Entebbe International Airport for your flights out later in the evening. This day is reserved evening flights through Entebbe International airport or a post night to be organised in either Kampala or Entebbe. If you request a post – night, please let us know in advance. End of safari.
