Walking Safari - Nature Walks
Setting out on a walking Safari in the Masai Mara ecosystem not only offers you the chance to stretch your legs, but also the opportunity to focus on some of the smaller ecosystems that are often overlooked from the height of the vehicle.
The intricate construction of termite mounds, the role and importance of dung beetles, the variety of bird life in the area are just the same of the subjects you may encounter on your excursion. The walking safari guides are all highly trained and carry wealth of information that they are only too happy to share, be it about a peculiar track in the sand or the call of an unseen bird.
Camp Fire
We light a fire using a hardwood and soft wood (cedar) We set the cedar on a metal blade, then grind it with hardwood stick, The shavings catch fire and are transferred to a bundle of dried grass to make a large fire
Be part of this thrilling activity and lean the basics of survival in the wilderness while you are sitting around the brazing bonfire listening to traditional stories or enjoy dancing around fire, This experience connects you to the local people in order to share and understand the African way of life,
Masai Culture dances
This is a must for guests interested in experiencing the ancient Masai Culture and activities. Most of the Maasai dances are pretty simple, consist of a lot of bending, but with the feet staying still on the ground
During the jumping dance, each young man will jump as high as he can while the others stand in a circle and sing
The voices of men get higher as the jumping increases. This jumping dance is as familiar to the Western World as the red-clad and beaded Maasai Warriors themselves. In the Masai language, this dancing competition is called the (adumu}. The Masai have dances for celebration when a lion is killed by the warriors, a dance for the blessing of cattle, a dance for performed at wedding ceremonies.

One of the biggest points of attraction to visiting East Africa is the opportunity to see the greatest wildlife show on earth: the yearly Wildebeest Migration.
What is the Wildebeest Migration?
Every year, roughly 1.5 million wildebeest and 300,000 zebra and gazelle strays get together their young and make the journey from Tanzania's Serengeti National Park to Kenya's Masai Mara looking for food and water. How the Great Migration takes place throughout the year?
Whether the wildebeest are dropping calves or endeavoring to cross rivers while staying away from predators, the migration is continually progressing over time. Peruse on to realize where the Great Migration will in general be during various seasons:
The Great Migration in January, February and March
Around January every year, the movement will complete a journey towards the south, moving along the eastern edge of the Serengeti and into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In spite of the fact that there is no genuine start or end to this migratory circuit — other than birth and death — it appears to be sensible to call the wildebeests' birthing season the beginning of the migration.
Around late January or February, the crowds possess the short-grass plains that spread over the lower northern slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater highlands and around Olduvai Gorge. The Great Migration in April and May
In the wake of bearing their young in February and March, around April the wildebeest herds start to float northwest toward the fresher grass of the central Serengeti, drawing with them huge number of zebra and more modest gatherings of eland. By May, sections of wildebeest stretch for a few kilometers as the creatures begin to gather by the Moru Kopjes, near Dunia amp, one of the few camps in the Serengeti that offers migration viewing during this season. Mating season starts close to the end of May and male wildebeest battle straight on. All through 'the groove,' the excursion goes on at relaxation with the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle brushing as they come. Kenya Safari Tour Packages https://www.smilestravelandtour.com/tours_cat.php?locid=17would be the best choice to witness this greatest movement on earth.
The Great Migration in June and July
During June, the dry season begins with huge convergences of wildebeest in the Western Serengeti and on the southern banks of the Grumeti River. Each moving creature should confront the test of crossing the crocodile infested river the first of many overwhelming and tense river encounters.
The Great Migration in August, September and October
By August, the herds have confronted the test of crossing the Mara River and are spread all through the Masai Mara's northern locale, with many leftover in the northern Serengeti. Whenever the waterway is in full stream, the frenzy and disarray at the crossings — joined with waiting predators and flooding ebbs and flows — can cause gigantic death toll. Don’t miss! The Great Migration in November and December
After the East African short rains in late October and early November, the wildebeest move down from Kenya and into the eastern furthest reaches of the Serengeti past Namiri Plains, a region known for remarkable cheetah sightings. By December, they are spread all through the eastern and southern spans.
