TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Andasibe National Park – The Andasibe-Mantadia corridor is situated in the foothills of the eastern escarpment of Madagascar. The village of Andasibe offers a perfect base to explore the Andasibe National Park. The 154 km2 park consists of two protected areas: the special Reserve of Indri d’ Analamazaotra and the National Park of Mantadia Analamazaotra, which is better known as “Périnet”.
Sainte Marie Island – The slender 57km-long island of Ile Sainte Marie is said to resemble a pregnant woman lying down. Most of the hotels are dotted on the coast south of Ambodifotatra, where the beach is narrow and pleasant. The northwest of the island is quieter but less accessible. The east coast is relatively rugged and, until recently, undeveloped. It offers some of the better beaches, particularly on the Ampanihy Peninsula, which is separated from the main island by the long Baie d’Ampanihy.
Antananarivo – Antananarivo is a city for walking. Some of the most interesting places and views will be chanced upon during leisurely walks – that may climb haphazardly over the hills. Tana is truly a lovely Madagascar vacation destination and spending a few days there will be a great experience!
Tamatave – Madagascar’s second-largest city Tamatave (also known as Toamasina) used to be a popular resort town for holidaymakers during colonial times. Tamatave is to Antananarivo what Brighton is to London or Nice is to Paris. Nowadays, it is the country’s largest port and oversees a growing hub of economical activities.
