Today we set out for a day excursion to the Tsimanampetsotsa National Park, where you will have the chance to see 2 of the 4 species of lemurs (2 being nocturnal), the very rare Grandidier’s mongoose (endemic to this area only), the Radiated Tortoise, the species of blind fish that lives in the underground caves but most famously, the colony of Greater Flamingoes.

ITINERARY
Today you will visit the tranquil island of Nosy Ve – a sacred location to the Vezo people, where each year locals sacrifice zebu according to traditional rituals. The island is home to the world’s most southern all-year breeding colony of red-tailed tropicbirds, which attracts ornithologists from all around the world. With excellent sightings of these birds, coupled with stunning white beaches and excellent snorkeling, this island visit will be a highlight of your tour.

Please note that Madagascar is a country that is in its infancy when it comes to tourism. Accommodation is limited and therefore subject to availability. We reserve the right to change these using similar accommodation of the same standards. The hotels used are simple & clean and of a basic standard, with en-suite bathrooms. Longo Vezo hotel
The Longo Vezo hotel, in Anakao, southwest Madagascar, is located on a 6-hectare wide domain along a white sand beach. Get ready to spend unforgettable holidays in full nature.
Bungalows
At the heart of the Anakao vegetation or right alongside the beach, the 8 bungalows are at the same time simple and comfortable. The important space between them allows some independence. The bungalows are spacious, well ventilated and maintained daily by discrete, efficient and available staff…
The biggest bungalows have private toilets. The inside is very clean, equipped with mosquito nets in a perfect condition, storage space and comfortable beds.
The hotel’s lightning comes from photovoltaic panels. The solar energy guarantees a maximum comfort while respecting the environment.
At Anakao and at the Longo Vezo hotel, fresh water is delivered each day by sailing pirogue from the Saint-Augustin bay or by cart drawn by zebus from the Antet wells. It is heated thanks to the individual solar ovens. Showers are taken with buckets of water. Each customer deals with his or her quantity of water and adds to his or her bucket the solar-heated water from the ovens. The majority of our clients are happy to rediscover that water is precious and that one bucket is enough to be clean for a day.
The bungalows are equipped with terraces to enjoy calm, the view over the bay and its wonderful sunsets giving free rein to dreams and imagination.

Activities
Among the activities, we organize daily excursions by boat or canoe to the neighboring islands of coral origin: Nosy Ve and Nosy Satrana. These two small islands are located less than 10 minutes by motorboat are surrounded by white sand beaches and the waters are crystal clear. .At low tide, a shuttle provides the connection to the open sea of ​​the bay for dives in larger funds. Boat & BBQ
