VICTORIA FALLS
You start this safari around Zimbabwe at the iconic Victoria Falls where the mighty Zambezi plunges over a hundred meters into the gorge below. The columns of spray can be seen from miles away from both the Zimbabwe and Zambian side of the river. There’s great accommodation and restaurants in Vic Falls and you will be spoilt for choice. Don’t forget to book some adventure activities in Vic Falls or a helicopter flip over the falls and Zambezi river.
LAKE KARIBA
Visit the world’s largest man-made lake, Lake Kariba from the luxury of your lakeshore lodge. Good game viewing and a special cultural tour can be experienced. Enjoy a sunset cruise and choose from a variety of optional activities during your 2-day exploration of the area.
HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Fantastic game drives and other game activities can be enjoyed at the Hwange National Park, the most spectacular premium wildlife area of Zimbabwe. Two distinctly different safari lodges in different areas of the park allow for a great diversity of game that can be spotted. Your safari drives and walks in Hwange are included in the tour price.
MATOPOS
Track endangered black and white rhinos on foot in the famous Matobo National Park. Explore the dramatic rocky landscapes and granite domes where you will visit the burial site of Cecil John Rhodes. He chose Worlds View as his final resting place for its breath-taking view and panorama.
GREAT ZIMBABWE RUINS
The Great Zimbabwe Ruins are a veritable sea of fascinating rock formations and this complex set of ruins is one of the country’s greatest historical and cultural attractions covering almost 1800 acres. The Great Zimbabwe Ruins were built by the Shona cattlemen and became a National Monument, earning worldwide recognition; it was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1986.
HARARE
The capital city of Zimbabwe is the bustling place where your Zimbabwe safari ends. Great restaurants and nightlife abound in Harare, and the shopping and curio markets is a perfect end to this tour.

On arrival into Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon may be spent at leisure enjoying one of the many activities available in Victoria Falls. This evening you will meet your guide and the rest of your group at the lodge at 18h00 for your pre-departure meeting.

This morning we make our way to the Northern Section of Hwange National Park, but we first make a stop in Victoria Falls where your guide will take you on a tour of the mighty Victoria falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Over the following two days, we will have plenty of time to explore this vast wilderness on game drives. Hwange National Park is one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife and is home to great herds of elephant, buffalo, and zebra and has a very large concentration of giraffe. It is also home to many predators and endangered species plus varied birdlife. The next day is you will have the full day to explore this magnificent area on a full day game drive in Hwange National Park.
ITINERARY
Lake Kariba is Africa’s largest man-made lake. Spend the day relaxing at the pool, or option to partake in many of the optional activities such as catch and release fishing. The next day you will get to bask in the sun as you enjoy an afternoon sunset cruise on Lake Kariba with game-viewing opportunities.

After breakfast we travel to the majestic Matobo Hills, an area of exquisite beauty, steeped in tribal history, ancient mystery and dramatic rock landscapes. The national park has been given UNESCO World Heritage status and is home to both white and black rhinoceros, sable antelope and the world’s densest population of leopard. Birdlife is prolific and includes the highest concentration of black eagles in the world. Once the home of the San (Bushman), this area contains the richest source of the rock art found anywhere. Not only is it here that the Ndebele people buried their great king, Mzilikazi, but Cecil John Rhodes was also laid to rest on the “Hill of the Benevolent Spirit” or “World’s View” as named by him. We spend the next day in the national park, starting our morning with tracking rhino spoor by vehicle and foot. In the afternoon we further explore the scenery and wildlife of the park on game drives, ending with a visit to Rhodes’ grave.

This morning we drive to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins located close to Masvingo. According to an age-old legend the ruins were built to replicate the palace of the Queen of Sheba in Jerusalem, and are a unique testimony to the Bantu civilization of the Shona between the 11th and 15th centuries. They cover an area of 1800 acres and are some of the oldest and largest structures located in Southern Africa. We have the opportunity to explore these ancient ruins, before checking in to our accommodation for the night

Today we make our way to Pamuzinda Safari Lodge, located just an hour outside of Harare. Once you have arrived, you will have the choice of a game drive, game walk or, for the more adventurous, a horse back safari.

This morning we take an early morning road transfer to Chirundu where we will enjoy a boat transfer to Mana Pools. The life-giving power of the Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions, designated as the country’s second World Heritage Site and known as one of the continent’s premier game-viewing regions. The following day, you have an option to enjoy some wildlife focused activities such as guided safaris walks as well as game drives.

After taking a road transfer to your lodge, you have the afternoon at leisure. Enjoy an afternoon around the pool gazing upon the panoramic views of Lake Kariba. You also have the opportunity to partake in many optional activities on offer.
