The Camping in Namibia Adventure lets you experience the best of Namibia in 10 days. This safari is a combination of the highlights of central and also western Namibia.
Therefore it is the perfect safari for the more budget-conscious traveller who seeks adventure and enjoys camping. Namibian campsites allow for a great outdoor experience and the facilities are also perfect for camping adventure tours. We depart from Windhoek and visit the Okonjima Cheetah Conservation on route to the Etosha National park. We then combine the rock art galleries with a possible sighting of desert-adapted elephants in Damaraland.
Our visit from Damaraland to Swakopmund will finally take us to the desert oasis of Namibia. It is evidently known as the adventure capital of the country. The next two nights will be spent exploring Swakopmund and some of the adventures the Namib desert has to offer. We will be staying at a lodge in the central part of town which is walking distance from most places in Swakopmund. The adventure operators will collect you from the lodge to partake in the activities of your choice.
Our final part of the Namibia Camping Adventure will take us to one of the oldest deserts in the world. The Namib Naukluft is home to large sand dunes and also a dried oasis that fills with water every 7 to 10 years. We then explore the Sossusvlei and Sesriem canyon where one of the most spectacular sunrises in Namibia can be seen over the desert.
